
VietNamNet Bridge – The
yearly Halong Tourism Festival in Quang Ninh Province ended yesterday,
having effectively attracted tourists to the city during the festival
and for the Liberation Day and May Day Holidays this week.
According
to Quang Ninh Province department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, most
hotel rooms in Halong City were fully booked last weekend during the
festival. The total number of tourists will continue to increase over
the next few days as a result of the holidays.

VietNamNet Bridge – The annual International Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament will start today in Quang Ninh Province's Tuan Chau Resort.
The tournament has drawn 10 teams from China, New Zealand, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam.
Representing Vietnam will
be the duos of Phan Thi Cam Hong/Do Thi Hong Loan, Nguyen Thi
Mai/Truong Thi Yen and Pham Thi Minh/Pham Thu Ha. The pairing of Pham
Thi Minh/Pham Thu Ha did particularly well in the Southeast Asian Games
in Thailand last December.

VietNamNet Bridge - Some
16 teams have registered to take part in the International Women’s
Beach Volleyball Tournament this month in Quang Ninh Province’s Tuan
Chau Resort.
However, organisers said they would accept further applications to enter if received in the next few days.
The tournament, which is
also known as the The Thao Viet Nam (Viet Nam Sports Cup) is one of
several activities lined up for this year’s Ha Long Carnival Week.
